By Bay District Volunteers
March 9, 2024

On Friday, March 8, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., Bay District stations 3 (Lexington Park) & 9 (California) and surrounding EMS companies were alerted to a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Great Mills Road and Midway Drive in Lexington Park. Police, fire, and rescue personnel swiftly responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found two vehicles involved in a T-bone style collision. Thankfully, despite initial concerns, no individuals were trapped inside the vehicles. However, the collision resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.

Emergency medical personnel attended to the scene, providing immediate assistance to those involved. The adult female operator of the silver SUV was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical attention. Her current condition remains undisclosed.

Fortunately, one occupant of the black SUV declined transportation to the hospital and was treated and released on-site by medical personnel.

Our thoughts are with all individuals involved in the collision, and we extend our sincere appreciation to the dedicated emergency responders for their prompt and professional actions in managing the situation.
