December 19, 2023

As the festive season unfolds, the members of Bay District want to extend warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to each and every one of you.

In the spirit of celebrating joyously yet responsibly, we kindly remind you to prioritize safety, especially when it comes to holiday traditions. Cooking during this season is a time-honored activity, but we urge everyone to exercise caution, particularly when using grease turkey fryers. These devices can be hazardous if not used in accordance with safety guidelines, so please ensure you adhere to recommended practices.

For those embracing the beauty of a live Christmas tree, we encourage you to keep it adequately watered. Dry Christmas trees pose a significant fire risk, and maintaining proper hydration is crucial to ensuring a safe and delightful holiday experience.

As we approach New Year's Eve, let's celebrate responsibly. If you plan to indulge in festivities that involve alcohol, we strongly advise using a designated driver or utilizing services like Uber to ensure you and your loved ones reach your destinations safely. Your well-being is of utmost importance to us.

May this holiday season be filled with joy, warmth, and safety for you and your loved ones.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
