Serious Collision on Park Hall Road

By Bay District Volunteers
January 20, 2024

On Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10:28 p.m., Station 3 and surrounding EMS companies were dispatched to the area of 47851 Park Hall Road in Park Hall in response to an automated 911 call from an Apple device reporting a serious collision.

Upon arrival personnel discovered a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and an SUV. Both vehicles had veered off the roadway and into a ditch, prompting an immediate response from the emergency crews.

Emergency medical personnel swiftly assessed three patients on the scene and determined the need for air transportation for two of them. A Maryland State Police Helicopter, Trooper 2, and Trooper 7 were summoned to the location and landed nearby.

Due to the patients exhibiting confrontational behavior with each other, it was deemed necessary to transport them in separate helicopters. A 5-year-old involved in the collision was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for further evaluation.

Each helicopter, Trooper 2 and Trooper 7, individually transported one patient to an area trauma center for immediate medical attention.

Our thoughts are with the individuals affected by this unfortunate event, and we extend our gratitude to the emergency responders for their swift and professional actions.

Fire Chief 3 (J. Gould) had the Park Hall Command.
