By Bay District Volunteers
December 27, 2023

In the early hours of Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 8:09 a.m., emergency responders from Station 3 and neighboring EMS companies rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of South Shangri-La Drive and Willows Road.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a single vehicle had veered off the roadway, colliding with a tree, and the operator was still inside the vehicle. Firefighters swiftly initiated rescue efforts, working to remove the patient from the wreckage.

Regrettably, the first responders encountered a dire situation as they found the operator unresponsive. Immediate life-saving measures were initiated by the firefighters on site, who tirelessly worked to revive the individual.

Despite their relentless efforts, the medical personnel, upon evaluation, declared the patient deceased on the scene a brief time later.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends affected by this unfortunate event.
