Working House Fire

On Sunday, January 19, 2020, at 12:20 p.m., the volunteers from Bay District along with NAS Patuxent River, and Ridge responded to 47281 Silver Slate Drive in Lexington Park for a house fire.
Safety 9A (J. Gould) arrived on the scene to find a two-story house with smoke showing. E32 arrived and found a kitchen fire, E32's crew quickly extinguished the fire and started overhaul. It was reported that their were pets in the home and one dog was found deceased in the house.
The homeowner was treated for smoke inhalation by EMS crews and did not require transport to the hospital.
The American Red Cross is currently assisting two adults.
