Charter Members

The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department (formerly known as the Lexington Park Volunteer Fire Department) traces its origins back to a pivotal moment in local history. The inaugural meeting was held on October 11, 1943, in the recreation hall of Cedar Park Trailer Camp. This gathering marked the beginning of a crucial community service initiative, as dedicated local volunteers came together to form what would soon become a cornerstone of public safety in the area.

Following this historic meeting, the Lexington Park Volunteer Fire Department was officially incorporated in July 1944, solidifying its commitment to protecting and serving the community. This founding milestone laid the foundation for what would later evolve into the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, continuing a proud legacy of service and dedication to the citizens it serves.
