On October 29th, 2024 FF Matthew Duncan, Sergeant Jacob Clark, Captain Peter Marshall, and FF Carl Peters responded to a CPR call. Rescue Engine 92 arrived on the scene to find an adult male unresponsive, and not breathing with bystanders performing CPR. The crew quickly took over life-saving measures. After a shock was advised with an AED, ROSC (Return Of Spontaneous Circulation) was then gained. After ROSC was gained the ambulance crew packaged the patient and placed him inside the ambulance. The patient was then transported to St.Marys Airport, where Trooper 7 is stationed, and flown to a specialized cardiac facility.
On Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 the crew of Rescue Engine 92 along with emergency medical providers, dispatchers, and Trooper 7s crew were invited to receive a Life Saving Recognition. This event was held at the St.Marys Airport.
Early recognition and early CPR are critical when performing life-saving measures on a cardiac arrest patient. Bystanders did just that and played a key role until Emergency Services arrived. |
