January 23, 2025

On Thursday, January 23rd at approximately 7:15 pm, the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department and neighboring departments were dispatched to a trailer fire in the Lord Calvert Trailer Park.

The BDVFD stations 3 and 9 responded with Engine 32, Rescue Engine 92, Engine Tanker 34, Tower 9, Engine 31, Fire Chief 3, Deputy Chief 3B, Deputy Chief 9B, and Safety 3A.

Engine 32 was first arriving on the scene to find fire showing throughout a single-wide trailer. Fire Chief 3 arrived on the scene shortly after Engine 32 and established the command. Command assigned Chief 3B as the interior group supervisor. Firefighters began working swiftly to put the fire out, the fire was out and under control within 20 minutes.

All occupants made it out unharmed before firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
