On Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 3:22 p.m., the Bay District Station 3, along with surrounding EMS companies, responded to an auto accident at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Evergreen Park Road in Lexington Park. The incident involved a motor vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a sedan, resulting in injuries to the motorcycle occupants.

Upon arriving at the scene, emergency response crews discovered a single motorcycle with two occupants lying in the roadway. The motorcycle had been struck by a sedan, leading to serious injuries for the occupants.

Recognizing the severity of the situation, first responders swiftly requested the assistance of Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7. The helicopter promptly landed nearby and transported both motorcycle occupants to an area trauma center for further medical attention.
