By Firefighter/EMT Jeff Evans
February 2, 2011

On February 2, 2011 at 0512 hours the Bay District, Hollywood, Avenue, Lexington Park EMS and NAWC Fire Department were dispatched to Damon's Restaurant at 22201 Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for a building fire. Engine 32, Engine 91, Engine 132, Truck Company 3, Engine 72 and Truck Company 7 along with Chief 3 responded at dispatch and Engine 32 arrived on the scene at 0515 hours and advised of a single story commercial building with fire showing from the roof and laid a supply line in from the hydrant. Truck 3 and Engine 132 arrived and Engine 132 picked up the supply line and the Truck Company laddered the roof. Engine 32's lineman pulled a 1 3/4" handline to the side door where Truck 3's Barman forced the door. After an Incident size up it was found that all the fire was located on the exterior parapet area and the fire was quickly extinguished. Truck 3's crew checked for extension and the Truck driver and Tillerman went to the roof along with Truck 7's crew and opened up checking for extension. No extension was found and units began picking up and determined electrical in nature. Chief 3 held the "Three Notch Command" and Capt. Warren held the operations. All units returned to quarters at 0630 hours.

Units: Engine 32, Engine 91, Truck Company 3, Chief 3

Mutual Aid: Engine 132, Engine 73, Truck Company 7, Water Supply 5, Amb. 398
