Company 3 Handles Small Kitchen Fire
By Fire Sergeant Daniel Martin
August 15, 2015
On 08/15 at 10:49 hours, Communications alerted Companies 3 and 9 for the report of an oven fire in a trailer. Engine 32 arrived on scene finding a singlewide trailer with smoke showing from the "Charlie" side of the structure. Engine 32's lineman advanced 200' of 1 ¾” hand line to the Charlie side door and made entry. Upon entry, Truck 3's crew conducted ventilation and searched the residence for any victims.
Crews found fire containing the kitchen of the trailer. Command advised communications that units from Company 3 could handle the fire and had Engine 93 fill in at Company 3's quarters for the duration of the incident. Units operated for under an hour before returning to quarters.
Captain Burroughs held command of the incident.
