By Firefighter/EMT Matthew Duncan
April 9, 2012

On Friday morning at 10:39 am, companies 1,7,9,6 and surrounding EMS agencies were dispatched to 41990 Domitilla CT in the Academy Hills subdivision for the reported house fire with possible people trapped.

Engine 72, Engine 11, and Engine 91 all responded fully staffed at dispatch. Communications advised all incoming units they had received multiple calls and that they would have work.

Chief 1 arrived on location and advised of a working fire on side Alpha. Engine 11 and 72 arrived on location and started the initial fire attack. Truck 1 arrived on location and started the primary searches and threw ground ladders. All searches proved to be negative. Engine 91 was assigned the RIT position, laid out from an independent water source, and stretched the 400' 1.75" attack line and assumed RIT responsibilities.

Due to deteriorating conditions, command decided to evacuate the structure and do a PAR check. Once all units were accounted for, Truck 7 crew, Engine 91 crew, and Engine 72 crew went interior and successfully knocked all fire and placed the incident under control. Crews from companies 1, 7, and 9 worked together for overhaul, and the scene was then turned over to the Fire Marshall's office.

Command then held it with company 1 units only. The rest of the assignment was then released and returned to service without incident.
